Bye, bye 2012 -- sorry to see you go

You 've been a wonderful year to me -- thank you for everything. (even the bumps and uphill stretches in the road!!)

Few men my age (66) have the daily privelage of spending their days with their children at home - and as I do, of feeling such enormous pride in all my children as I watch them fill their days with things that we both agree are extremely meaningful and right -- and then as well, even the privelage of sharing as they bravely overcome the bruises, tears and bangs of ordinary life.

As well -- ignoring the risks involved in saying this out loud -- NO ONE else my age, younger or older has been given the gift of spending this whole year with the most wonderful and most beautiful woman in the world!!

Thank you 2012 -- sorry to see you go!!!

Edgar (on New Years eve)
