The people we got acquainted with

On of the events on our safari package we what the called 'community'  ... a little trip to the communities arround the park .. primarily to a little traditional operating farming village that had been relocated when the park was formed 20-30 years ago. Then we had become friends with the park ranger that was assigned to us .. and he took us to his home and to the school where his children go to school.

When we first came by this man was in the process of making mud blocks to build onto his home ...when I got to talk to him I asked if I come back if I could see the addition to his home ... and I got to take a picture of him and his wife

The kids were all anthrawled with Mireille ... especially her finger nails!!

Here they showed us some of their farming produce.

Got to take a picture of this little classroom .. this school was for the park rangers children ..about 400

Statistic sheets -- resources is a problem ... some classes had only enough desks so that 3 students had to sit at the same desk.  The same was true of text books..
