Mole Wildlife Reserve and Zaina Safari Lodge

Emma had planned a African safari as a birthday present for Mireille, and seeing that I was married to her I got to go along as well!!
It started as a 2 hour plane trip to an inland city Tamale .. then a 3 hour car ride deep into Ghana.  Even  the trip was exotic and exciting for us. Zaina is somewhat of a luxury lodge right in the game reserve .. we were there 3 nights and in that period were offered 4 wildlife safari tours.

Arrived at this airport after an approx 2 hour flight inland from Accra  -- An interesting city.

Picked up at  the airport for an interesting 3 hour car ride inland to the National park for the safari tour.

Some simple farming villages along the way

The park gate
The first safari of the day left at 06:30 ... they are waiting for us.
Got this pix of Emma and Mireille just as an elefant was coming over a fence.

This was our dinning room .. lovely food and lots of service.
Elephant in a mud hole ... took this from our cabin deck!
Our cabin looking down over the elephant water hole.
We had wonderful airconditioned cabins .. half brick and half tent. The tent part was double canvas with insolation between.
