| Todays indifference to injustice and pain around us, is NOT going to make a better world for our children. |

There is a Facebook quote of Bill Gates regarding principles in life that circulates these days .. It says “Life is not fair .. get used to it!” – Easy for a multi-billionaire to say!!! Try saying that to the down trodden with no food for their children!! – and see what you get for cheers. Desmond Tutu said “If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor.” He also said “If an elephant has its foot on the tail of a mouse and you say that you are neutral, the mouse will not appreciate your neutrality.” Furthermore, if this elephant says “I will continue to tramp on your tail as I see fit, and squash you, and hurt you, until you quit trying to bite my foot” you have the Israel/Gaza conflict in a nutshell. Disregard for injustice, and indifference to the pain and suffering of others, is the perfect recipe for a future of conflict and suffering for everyone . Neither are good, but disregard for injustice will destroy our world much faster that disregard for the many ecological dangers around us!
