A lot has happened since the last time I have written here ... Sometimes it is hard to make time for ones 'hobby', ((as this is to me) - Unfortunately this is one of the things that can be pushed ahead to 'tomorrow'  -- and as I have found out so many times before -- 'tommorrow just keeps moving out of range'.

The begining of this month was an important mile marker for us, Rebecka graduated from the Swedish equivelant of high school/college. She took graduated from this school with a nurses assistant status and now has a job working in the delivery ward of our regional hospital.  Needless to say we are quite proud of her. Here is a link to a series of pictures from the event and the ensueing festivities.  Seeing that her job is in Trollhättan she spends a major part of her time with her boy friend (Niklas) who lives there.

Ellen also had her 17th birthday this month (actually the same day as Rebeckas graduation party) Her high school/college program is called 'Hotel and restraurant' -- she plans on specializing as a cook -- but in the meantime her school training in serving made it possible for her to get a summer job at a high class golf course restaurant just a few kms from our little village. It is close enough for her to get back and forth on her moped -- (when she is unsuccessful at convincing us to drive her!!)

School for the younger ones was over the 11th of June ... Was a rainy day so note the rubber boots on  Nona!

Mireilles sister Nathalie (on the left, with a neighbor girl and her baby on the right) had come down for Beckas graduation .. It was the first time that some of us had seen her brand new little boy. A wonderful little fellow by the name of Lucas (the Swedish version of Luke) It has been a long time since we have had a new born in the house. He is such a real perfect little lad -- as long as he gets his lunch he hardly makes a peep!! These are the first Swedish cousins our kids have gotten, so guess if they are proud of him or not.Check out Alfons, Ellen and Eleanore

I'll be in trouble if I forget to remember that June 30th was Mireille and my 19th wedding anniversary --- Mireille had saved her 40th birthday present from Emma, which was a weekend in a luxury hotel in Gothenburg along with a four course meal in a shore side restaurant -- and then a walk along the harbour in a beautiful evening.
