Regarding the group that calls itself 'the truth' – 'the fellowship of friends and workers' etc.  and is known by many as the '2x2s' or the 'Cooneyites' as well as many other names and nick-names.


Seeing that I grew up in this group in Canada – and then worked as a full time supporter of the group for 16 years  - and after marrying and leaving the so-called 'ministry' I then spent over 20 years of my life as a prominent member of the group heavily involved in most cult activity. 

In the process of several years, between approximately 1995 and 2001, I became aware of extreme internal deception, and a large volume of moral coruption within the group. Upon attempting to bring this to public attention, I was rejected from the group,  in a similar time frame as a large number of folks in our immediate social environment.

Today, I regard this to have been a very positive step in the personal moral development of myself and my family. Because of this, I have involved myself quite extensively in the process of 'cult exit' and 'cult recovery'. This has been done in an effort to aid folks amongst my social acquaintenceship,  in their personal development as they experience the enormous conflict between moral development, and the self-centered influence of an extremely dominant cult leadership.
