2018 has been wonderful to me ---- Good health wonderful family and friends around me .. and a full year of amazing developments and enriching personal experiences.
However sad to say, if equality had existed on the planet My income would have been less than 1/8th of what it is . there would have been an over 60% chance that one of my 6 children had passed away before they were 5. Literacy could easily be out of reach for my 5 girls as well as the right for them to vote the right to education or the right to determine their own course in life.
If equal oppurtunity had existed on our planet I could easily have been one of the folks in the statistics of 65 million displaced persons with no home at all on a refugee boat in the Mediteranean tonight, or in some kind of squalor on the equivelent to the Mexican American border this new years eve..
Thus it is quite fair to say that 2018 (and the other 71
years since my birth) has been far kinder to me than
many. It has treated me very very well --- I am
grateful!!
